Our next contributor to the Leading Law® Accelerator is revealed
Some incredible leaders are sharing their time to coach and mentor new and future leaders within legal services as part of this new and unique programme.
This week we are proud to announce that by joining the Leading Law® programme you can learn from Vincent Baldry.
Vincent is Brightlink’s Technical & Creative Director. Before working at Brightlink Vincent left school and joined the Royal Air Force and had an exciting a varied 13 year career. While serving Vincent started to get involved in Continuous Improvement projects and gained various qualification and a passion for improvement. After leaving the RAF Vincent then spent 2 decades in the defence and manufacturing sectors training teams on continuous improvement tools and techniques and delivering business benefits through improvement projects.
Vincent over his time has worked his way up from the shop floor through to middle and then senior management roles, and this has helped him understand the improvement journey at all levels in a business. He has also been a leadership coach for other middle and senior managers.
Vincent has numerous industry qualifications in Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing as well as having a Level 5 qualification in Coaching and Mentoring and a further education teaching qualification.
Vincent says
“Continuous Improvement is more than just improving a process. If you do not involve the people carrying out the process and make the improvement theirs, the improvements will not be sustained. There are 3 questions to ask.
- 1 – Does it make sense at their level and in a language they understand.
- 2 – Can they take ownership and have a sense of pride in what they are doing.
- 3 – Do they see their colleagues, their manager and the senior leadership team behave in a way to support what they are trying to improve.”
We will be benefiting from Vincent experience and knowledge in masterclasses and question and answer sessions on tools and techniques from improvement, monitoring improvements, engaging with your team and selling it to the senior team.
Vincent will introduce you to some tools and techniques to help with improvements but also help you understand how to engage people.
