Dear learners, we have received a number of last minute cancellations and no shows for one to one appointments and workshops recently. It costs us a lot financially to offer this support for you and even more than the financial impact, it costs a lot in terms of valuable and irreplaceable time for a tutor and also can lead to disappointment and an inability to progress for other learners who this takes time from too. It is a matter of professionalism and courtesy to attend an appointment which is booked, please do show your professionalism by always attending an appointment that you make with us. If you don’t attend a booked one to one meeting without at least 24 hours advance notice to your tutor you will be given one more opportunity to meet with them. According to our terms and conditions, if you miss two appointments you will no longer be able to book one to one appointments for that module. This is to ensure that tutor’s time is available for learners who want and need it.
For workshops, learners benefit from having others there and participating, we notify our tutors if they will be going ahead with a workshop, based on bookings 7 days before it takes place. We must pay them for their time if we confirm on this date and they will spend those days preparing to help you. Other learners may miss out on an opportunity for a great workshop if nobody comes or lots of people drop out. We would expect you to attend most if not all of the workshops running during your subscription and if you have booked to attend and wish to cancel, we would expect you to notify us of your cancellation 8 days before unless there is some kind of dire emergency.
